Case Study - Energy Hub
Where clean energy meets circular solutions
The Challenge
Washing heavy vehicles consumes huge amounts of electricity, thousands of liters of water, and typically relies on fossil-based systems. Energy use is often invisible – and even less often efficient.
When Truxco Energy took on the Autowash project, we saw clear potential: with the right technology in the right place, the facility could become both smarter and more energy-efficient. The result? A forward-thinking hub where resources are used wisely, sustainability is built into every step, and the operation is ready for the future.
WHAT WE CHANGED
Autowash became a site for smart and circular infrastructure. Instead of just focusing on cleaning vehicles, we redesigned the facility to cut its carbon footprint and maximize resourse efficiency.
Our heavy vehicle washing system recycles up to 90% of the water through advanced filtration and reuse technologies. Additionally, rainwater is collected and used in the process, further reducing fresh water consumption. Together these solutions save thousands of liters of water with every wash.
Our 248 kW solar panel system has reduced annual electricity consumption from the grid by over 60%. The shift from approximately 420,000 kWh to self-produced solar energy has significantly lowered both operating costs and the carbon footprint.
Capture more of your solar energy with smart energy storage. This solution provides easy and reliable access to clean energy when you need it, while also contributing to a more sustainable future.
Chargers installed to support EV vehicle – powered by solar, stabilized with energy storage, and designed to reduce grid reliance during daily operations.
Real-time monitoring gives you complete visibility and control over your facility’s energy and water consumption. You can track the performance of system components — such as pumps, heating, and charging stations — and make quick adjustments to maximize efficiency.
This solution helps you lower costs, prevent unnecessary losses, and support more sustainable operations.
